and wounded over 80 in 2001

Hamdallah: "God grant them His Paradise"

This week, Israeli PM Netanyahu blamed the murder of an Israeli and the injuring of a child on the Palestinian Authority because of its continued incitement:
"This reprehensible murder of a man who was traveling with his family to a meal for the Festival of Freedom is the result of the incitement for which the Palestinian Authority is responsible." [Jerusalem Post, April 16, 2014]

Palestinian Media Watch has documented that even during this period of peace talks, PA incitement to hatred, terror promotion and glorification has continued unabated. Click the above links to see dozens of examples in each category.

The PA's terror promotion is not coming from fringe groups but from the top leaders of the PA. Recently, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Dr. Rami Hamdallah honored two suicide bombers who murdered 16 in 2001. Hamdallah chose to visit the families of the two terrorists following Israel's transfer of their bodies to the PA.

Maher Hbeishah carried out a suicide bombing on a bus in Haifa on Dec. 2, 2001, killing 15 people and wounding around 40. Imad Zubeidi executed his suicide bombing at a bus stop in Kfar Saba (city near Tel Aviv) on April 22, 2001, killing 1 and wounding more than 40. Israel transferred their bodies to the PA last month.

The PA Prime Minister "consoled the relatives" and "conveyed President Mahmoud Abbas' condolences," the official PA daily reported, and "expressed his wishes that God grant them His Paradise and grant their families forbearance and solace." [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, March 13, 2014]

Yesterday, Palestinian Media Watch reported that another important PA leader glorified terrorist murderers and justified to Palestinians their acts of terror as "self-defense," whereas to Israelis he condemned "the killing of any person." This is yet another example of
Palestinian duplicity.

honoring terrorist murderers, and Palestinian Media Watch's documentation of Fatah's use of Facebook to glorify murderers.

The following is the official PA daily's report on the visit and Al-Habbash's statement in support of terror:

"Yesterday [March 12, 2014] [PA], Prime Minister Dr. Rami Hamdallah consoled the relatives [of several Martyrs (Shahids), including] the Martyrs of the numbered [cemeteries] (i.e., Israeli cemeteries for terrorists and enemy soldiers) from Nablus, Martyr Maher  Muhyi Al-Din Hbeishah and Martyr Imad Kamal Zubeidi... Hamdallah conveyed President Mahmoud Abbas' condolences to the Martyrs' relatives and expressed his wishes that God grant them His Paradise and grant their families forbearance and comfort."
[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, March 13, 2014]

PA Minister of Religious Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash:
"All the Palestinian prisoners who protected [our] land, honor and homeland are prisoners of freedom; they are prisoners of war. They are not criminals, will never be and have never been. Their hands committed no crime. They were defending themselves. They are an inseparable part of this national Palestinian movement and one of its authentic elements."
[Official PA TV March 28, 2014]

Note: When PA Minister Al-Habbash defined Palestinian prisoners as people whose "hands committed no crime" and who are "an authentic element" of the Palestinian movement, he was including well known imprisoned terrorists like Abdallah Barghouti, (67 life sentences), Ibrahim Hamed, (54 life sentences) and Abbas Al-Sayid, (35 life sentences), all imprisoned for planning suicide bombings that murdered in all 156 civilians.
