Seizing an opportunity to glorify terrorists, Fatah's Student Movement Shabiba at Birzeit University put photos of terrorists on greetings it distributed wishing students good luck on their exams.

The cards featured pictures of the following heads of terror organizations:
  • Founder of the Hamas terror organization Ahmed Yassin
  • Former PLO and PA Chairman and founder of Fatah Yasser Arafat
  • Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine Abu Ali Mustafa
  • Founder of the Islamic Jihad terror organization Fathi Shaqaqi

Good luck to our precious students

The "good luck" greetings from Fatah's Shabiba also took on a religious nature, carrying a quote from the Quran:

"'[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance]; and ease for me my task; and untie the knot from my tongue; that they may understand my speech"' [Quran, Sura 20:25-28, Sahih International translation]
In the name of Allah the Savior, nothing is easy other than that which You have eased, O Most Merciful"

In the upper right corner of the card is the logo of the Fatah Shabiba Student Movement at Birzeit University, which features a fist in the shape of the PA map of "Palestine" that presents all of Israel as "Palestine" together with the PA areas, and over it the text: "We will return."

Palestinian Media Watch has documented that other Shabiba branches have logos with slogans encouraging violence, such as Shabiba at An-Najah National University and Al-Quds Open University, whose logos carry the statement: "From the sea of blood of the Martyrs we will create a state." In 2016, Shabiba at Birzeit campaigned in university elections with a poster showing a knife dripping with blood and the text: "Plant a knife in the heart of your enemy."

Ahmed Yassin - Founder and former head of the terrorist organization Hamas. The Hamas movement is responsible for numerous terror attacks and the deaths of hundreds of Israeli civilians.

Abu Ali Mustafa - Secretary-General of the terror organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). The PFLP, which rejected the Oslo Accords (1993), has planned and carried out numerous terror attacks against Israeli civilians since its founding in 1967 and throughout the Palestinian terror campaign between 2000-2005 (the Intifada).

Fathi Shaqaqi - Founder of the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad, which has carried out more than 1,000 terror attacks, murdering and wounding hundreds of Israeli civilians. Shaqaqi was killed in 1995 in an operation attributed to Israel but for which Israel never took responsibility.
