Mother of killed Palestinian terrorist expresses pain at losing her son

They ate as usual, and afterward I was busy in the kitchen and with dishwashing. Hassan purified himself before prayer, prayed the afternoon prayer, and went out. At approximately 3:00 p.m. I heard the sounds of ambulances which were unusual. I asked my daughter to go up on the roof and see what’s happening in the street. She said that it was the usual sounds which are heard almost every day.’ However, she [the mother] emphasized: ‘I felt like the sounds of the ambulances and the noise were inside the house, and not in the main street which is far from my home.’ News of the stabbing operation (i.e., stabbing attack) and the death as a martyr of the one who carried it out near the settlement Pisgat Ze’ev, and a video of the injured and arrested Ahmad Manasrah began to spread on social networks, and the news struck the family like lightning. Ahmad’s mother thought he was the Martyr, ‘but I did not know the Martyr was my son, Hassan, and that Ahmad was arrested. After half an hour, Martyr Hassan’s father and the arrested Ahmad’s father were called in for investigation and the news arrived that the Martyr was Hassan, and the arrested injured was Ahmad Manasrah.’ She said: ‘I did not imagine that Hassan was a Martyr. I miss him. I tried to find his picture on the internet, and did not find anything. I want to smell his scent and kiss him, but for more than a month there’s an erupting volcano within me because I lost Hassan and Ibrahim was arrested, and the pain of Ahmad’s arrest.’”
Pisgat Ze'ev stabbing attack - On Oct. 12, 2015, two Palestinian terrorists, Hassan Manasrah (15) and Ahmad Manasrah (13), stabbed Yossef Ben Shalom (21) in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood of East Jerusalem, then repeatedly stabbed a 13-year-old boy (name undisclosed at time of writing) who was riding his bike. Hassan Manasrah was killed while fleeing the scene, and Ahmad Manasrah was shot by Israeli police and hospitalized. Both victims of the attack were seriously injured. The terrorists, who were cousins, came from the nearby Palestinian neighborhood of Beit Hanina.
