Official PA daily uses non-recognition terminology: “the 1948 territories”

The official PA daily reported on the visit by Israeli Arab women from the village of I’billin in Israel to the District Governor of Jericho, Jamal Rajoub.
“Several female cultural and social figures from the village of I’billin in the 1948 territories (i.e., Israel) emphasized the unity of the Palestinian people and its adherence to its land, as well as the strength and resolve of the social fabric among its individual members – both Christians and Muslims, and in all parts of the world.
[District Governor of Jericho, Jamal] Rajoub emphasized our nation’s and its leadership’s adherence to their homeland, their rights and their cultural heritage, despite the Israeli occupation authorities’ attempts and actions over the past six decades [aimed] against the national and cultural identity of our people within the 1948 territories…
Poet Amal Awad Radwan, the head of the female delegation, called Palestine a single entity that will not be divided by the occupation’s walls and actions, adding that ‘we are part of this homeland, Palestine, and are living in the ‘prison cell of 1948.’ Despite all the attempts to separate and divide [us], we will remain Palestinians, and we are one nation, united by concerns, hopes, and expectations for a better tomorrow for our people, our nation and Palestine.’”
