PA daily op-ed: Palestinians are original inhabitants of the land and Israel is just another “invader and occupier”

“These are the Palestinians, descendants of the Canaanites and the Jebusites, the first to dwell on this sacred soil and to inhabit this blessed land. They are the first who set foot on this soil, and built Haifa, Jaffa, Jerusalem, Safed, Hebron, Nablus and Tal Al-Rabia (i.e., Arabic translation of Tel Aviv, to wrongly imply the existence of an Arab village of that name prior to Tel Aviv, Ed.). They are those who have put down roots in the heart of Jerusalem, and survived throughout all the centuries, and all the dreams of invaders and greedy ones were shattered on their rocks and chests. Colonialism and all invaders and occupiers passed through here, while the Palestinians continued to carry out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) and stand firm.”
