"Today, Friday, Nov. 2 [2018], is the 101st anniversary of the publication of the ominous Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration), in whose framework Britain granted the Jews the right to establish a national homeland in Palestine, relying on the false statement 'a land without a people for a people without a land.' …The Jews succeeded in exploiting the piece of paper that was published by [then British Foreign Secretary] Arthur Balfour, who was known for his closeness to the Zionist movement, and afterwards the mandate's document and the decision of the [UN] General Assembly in 1947, which determined the partition of Palestine, in order to realize their dream to establish Israel on May 15, 1948. This entity achieved membership in the UN due to the pressure of the global powers, and Israel became the first state in the history of the global political system that was established on the land of others. It also received international aid that enabled it to patronize the region, to spread out, to swallow more Palestinian and Arab territories, and to act violently against the Palestinians who remained on their land, without mercy.
The Balfour Declaration granted a homeland to the Jews despite them not being residents of Palestine, since at the time of the publication of the declaration, only 50,000 of the world's Jews – estimated at approximately 12 million at the time – were in Palestine. This was while the number of Arab residents in Palestine at the time was nearly 650,000 residents, who had managed their lives for thousands of years in the deserts, villages, and cities of this land."
The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.” In 1922, the League of Nations adopted this and made the British Mandate “responsible for putting into effect the declaration,” which led to the UN vote in 1947 and the establishment of the State of Israel.
