Fatah documentary about terrorist Abu Jihad is meant to teach others to “walk in [his] footsteps”

Gaza: "Professional teams working in Gaza recently completed two documentary films about the life of Shahid (Martyr) Khalil Al-Wazir, 'Abu Jihad', who was assassinated by Israel 22 years ago while at home in Tunis. [The films] show rare footage of the man talking with fighters about carrying out attacks in the heart of Israel… One footage from one of the films, shows Abu Jihad in a rare recording, in which he is explaining the resistance operations to Palestinian self-sacrificing fighters, and the nature of the target areas inside occupied Palestine (i.e., Israel). The pictures also show him instructing the self-sacrificing fighters how to carry out orders in large-scale operations, including the Coastal Road operation, which was carried out by the self-sacrificing fighter Dalal Mughrabi, accompanied by a number of other self-sacrificing fighters, over the course of which 37 Israelis were killed (i.e., the most lethal terror attack in Israel’s history when terrorists led by Dalal Mughrabi hijacked a bus, killing 37 Israeli civilians).
In one of the recordings Abu Jihad says to the self-sacrificing fighters, before they set out for an operation (i.e., terror attack) in the city of Tel Aviv, 'Don't kill children, and don't cut down trees.' He continues, 'We want to turn the Tel Aviv day into night, blood, and destruction.'
It should be noted that Abu Jihad, who was responsible for the 'western sector system' [of military operations] in the Fatah movement, was directly responsible for, and planned, the dispatch of dozens of self-sacrificing fighters to carry out many attacks (i.e., terror attacks) on Israeli regions, including Dalal Mughrabi's Coastal Road operation, and the Dimona operation carried out by three armed Palestinians against Israeli nuclear scientists in the region of Dimona and the Negev, which was the main reason for his elimination [by Israel]…
Fatah MP Ashraf Jum'a, under whose auspices the two documentaries have been prepared, said that the purpose of these films, dealing with Abu Jihad's role and his struggle against the occupation, was an attempt 'to connect the past and the present in order to learn lessons for the future, in which the victory enterprise will be completed, through walking in the footsteps of Abu Jihad and Yasser Arafat.'"
Note: Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization’s military wing and planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks, including the most lethal in Israeli history, the hijacking of a bus killing 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
