PA daily refers to Israel as “the Interior occupied in 1948”

“The [PA] Ministry of Prisoners’ Affairs [Issa Karake] published the contents of a letter written by veteran prisoner Karim Younes, a resident of the village of Ara’ra located in the Interior occupied in 1948 (i.e., Israel). He is the most veteran of all Palestinian and Arab prisoners in the occupation’s prisons.”
Note: Karim Younes is an Israeli Arab prisoner who killed an Israeli soldier in 1981 and was given a life sentence in prison.
