Fatah sends condolences to families of Martyrs and wishes for freedom for prisoners (i.e., including terrorist murderers)

Headline: “Fatah: We will not agree to a reduction of the legal rights of our people”

“The Fatah Movement Central Committee discussed a number of issues last night [July 2, 2016], including the internal situation, the Quartet’s statement (a warning that the path that Israel and the PA are following will prevent a two-state solution and lead to a reality of one state for two peoples –Ed.), and returning the national unity [between Fatah and Hamas], during its meeting at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, led by [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas...

The Central Committee expressed its condolences to the families of our people’s heroic Martyrs (Shahids), who sacrificed themselves for the freedom of their people (possibly referring to several months of Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis 2015 - 2016 -Ed.), and wished a full recovery to the brave wounded and freedom to our heroic prisoners.”

At the time of this meeting, another Palestinian terrorist had just killed a young Israeli girl and become a “Martyr”:
Muhammad Taraireh – 17-year-old Palestinian terrorist, who stabbed and murdered 13-year-old American Israeli Hallel Yaffa Ariel, as she slept in her bed, in her home in Kiryat Arba near Hebron, on June 30, 2016. Taraireh also injured one of the Israeli security personnel before he was shot and killed.

Many of the prisoners to whom the Fatah Central Committee wished freedom are serving life sentences for murder, including mass murderers Abdallah Barghouti, Abbas Al-Sayid, and the murderers of the Fogel family, Hakim Awad and Amjad Awad:

Abdallah Barghouti - serving 67 life sentences for preparing explosives for terror attacks in which 67 people were murdered: Sbarro restaurant (15 killed, Aug. 9, 2001, Jerusalem), Sheffield Club (15 killed, May 7, 2002, Rishon LeZion), Moment Café (11 killed, March 9, 2002, Jerusalem), triple attack at Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall (11 killed, Dec. 1, 2001, Jerusalem), Hebrew University (9 killed, July 31, 2002, Jerusalem), and Bus 4 in Tel Aviv (6 killed, Sept. 19, 2002).

Abbas Al-Sayid - serving 35 life sentences for planning two suicide bombings, one at a Passover dinner at the Park Hotel in Netanya (30 killed, March 27, 2002) and another outside a shopping Mall in Netanya (5 killed, May 18, 2001).

Hakim Awad and Amjad Awad - 17 and 19-year-old Palestinian terrorists who brutally murdered 5 members of the Fogel family. The terrorists snuck into the Fogel's home in the town of Itamar, southeast of Nablus, on March 11, 2011, and first murdered the 11 and 4-year-old children as they slept, and then murdered the parents, Ehud and Ruth, who struggled with them. The terrorists then left the home, but Amjad decided to return and look for weapons. When he returned, he heard the four-month-old baby crying and murdered her. Hakim and Amjad Awad returned to their village after the attack. They were caught and arrested by Israel Secret Service, army and police forces over a month later, on the fifth and tenth of April. Hakim Awad was sentenced to five life sentences and an additional 50 years imprisonment, and Amjad Awad was sentenced to five life sentences and an additional seven years imprisonment.
