PA TV calls the terrorists who attacked Savoy hotel as "Martyrs," describes the Israeli rescue crew as the attackers

Official PA TV host: "The Israeli military censorship allowed the publicizing of a film that contains testimony being publicized for the first time of a senior Israeli officer who participated in the attack (i.e., rescue mission) against the Savoy Hotel in Tel Aviv while an armed squad of the Fatah Movement held Israeli hostages in 1975 in order to free Palestinian and Arab prisoners. The occupation army chose to attack the self-sacrificing (Fida'i) squad and a fierce battle took place during which a number of [Israeli] soldiers were killed, including a senior officer in addition to 7 dead [civilians] and the deaths as Martyrs (Istish’had) of the attacking squad." …
Official PA TV narrator: "The Savoy operation was the first attack the Palestinians carried out by infiltration from the sea, when the squad left the coasts of Lebanon and arrived and infiltrated Tel Aviv. The mastermind of the operation was Martyr Abu Jihad Khalil Al-Wazir (i.e., terrorist, responsible for the murder of 125), in order to avenge Israel's assassination of three PLO leaders (i.e., terrorists Kamal Adwan, Kamal Nasser, and Abu Yusuf Al Najjar, killed by Israeli forces in April 1973), and to release the prisoners."
Savoy terror attack- In March 1975, eight terrorists traveled by boat from Lebanon to a Tel Aviv beach. They took over the Savoy Hotel and took guests as hostages. The next morning, Israeli forces attacked and killed seven of the terrorists. Eight hostages and three soldiers were killed by the terrorists during the attack.
Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and also planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks in the 1960’s - 1980’s. These attacks, which murdered a total of 125 Israelis, included the most lethal in Israeli history - the hijacking of a bus and killing of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
Kamal Adwan and Kamal Nasser were both senior members of Black September who were killed by Israeli forces in April 1973. Kamal Nasser was also the spokesperson for the PLO and Fatah. Kamal Adwan was responsible for Fatah terrorist operations in Israel.
Abu Yusuf Al-Najjar was Arafat's deputy and Commander of Operations for the terrorist organization Black September.
