Article in PA daily describes terrorists that killed Israeli policewoman as “Martyrs… young people that wanted to say a clear ‘No!’ to the occupation in their own way”

Headline: “Jerusalem moments before the shooting”
“In the moments before the end of the [Ramadan] fast, the people in Jerusalem feel like they are waiting for something, and it is possible that the occupation police also feel this, so that the moments pass slowly.
On the third Friday in the month of Ramadan [June 16, 2017] the waiting did not last long. A burst of bullets split the tense atmosphere, and after it the sirens of police vehicles were heard. Suddenly many policemen in civilian clothes appeared and went toward Damascus Gate. Many young people got up and went toward Damascus Gate to check what is happening, but to no avail, as the occupation’s blockades prevented their arrival. After a few minutes an additional burst of bullets caused panic and confirmed that the third Friday of Ramadan would end with blood on the sidewalks of Jerusalem…
While four young [Palestinians] lay prone on the sidewalk (i.e., 3 of them terrorists killed during their terror attack) they evacuated the wounded female soldier, whose death was published shortly after. They treated the young [Palestinians] – three of whom later died as Martyrs (Shahids) – with indifference…
The smell of blood will continue to surround the holy and occupied city [of Jerusalem] until dawn. There are young people that wanted to say a clear ‘No!’ to the occupation in their way.”

Bara Saleh, Adel Ankoush, Osama Ata – three Palestinian terrorists who carried out a terror attack in Jerusalem on June 16, 2017. Two of the terrorists, one armed with an automatic weapon and the other with a knife, attacked Israeli police officers north of the Old City of Jerusalem. Seconds later a third terrorist stabbed and murdered Israeli border policewoman Hadas Malka, 23, at the Old City’s Damascus Gate as she and other officers were responding to the first attack. All three terrorists were shot and killed by the Israeli officers. Aside from Malka, four Israelis were wounded in the attack. ISIS initially claimed responsibility for the attack but Hamas rejected the claim, saying the terrorists were members of Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).
