Israel prevents holding of ceremony honoring mothers of “prisoners and Martyrs” in E. Jerusalem

"The occupation forces yesterday evening [April 5, 2018] prevented the holding of a ceremony to honor the mothers of the prisoners and Martyrs (Shahids) in the village of Issawiya in occupied Jerusalem.
In Jerusalem District [Police] Commander Yoram Halevy's decision, which described the ceremony as 'terrorist,' it was stated: 'The Al-Salam Hall in the village of Issawiya was closed because it was intended to hold a ceremony there honoring the mothers of the prisoners and Martyrs in Jerusalem, in the presence of Palestinian activists and with the sponsorship and funding of Fatah.' The occupation police also gave Secretary of the Fatah Movement Organizational Branch in Issawiya Yasser Darwish a summons to interrogation."
