Younes is from the Palestinian village of Ar’ara that was occupied in 1948 (i.e., a village in Israel), and he is the most veteran Palestinian prisoner in the occupation’s prisons.
The Fatah Prisoners and Released Prisoners’ Affairs Commission – Gaza Strip, together with the public relations department in the communications faculty of Al-Aqsa University, screened the movie ‘Unlimited Life Sentence,’ which speaks about the life story and path of prisoner Karim Younes, who has been imprisoned since 1983.”
Karim Younes - an Israeli Arab serving a 40-year sentence for kidnapping and killing Israeli soldier Avraham Bromberg in 1980 together with his cousin Maher Younes. Originally sentenced to life in prison, but Israeli President Shimon Peres reduced his sentence in 2012.
