Fatah: “All guns [must be aimed] against the Zionist enemy”

PA TV program A Personal Encounter hosted head of Political Guidance in Fatah in Lebanon, Bilal Aslan:
Aslan: “Brother Yasser Arafat would always speak about the rifle and the rifle’s importance in the Palestinian revolution, on condition it was used in the correct way against the Zionist enemy. And he had a motto (something that characterized him), from the 1960s, and this is the motto of the Fatah movement – [aim] all the rifles at the Zionist enemy. Even other leaders, on whose thinking and on whose way in leading the Palestinian revolution and Fatah we were raised – such as commander Martyr (Shahid) Abu Jihad Al-Wazir would say: ‘it doesn’t matter how we use the weapon and how we carry the weapon. What is important is how we use [it] and against whom we use the weapon.’ Therefore, the enemy is the main thing and the only target of the Fatah movement and of the Palestinian fighter is the Israeli enemy. We have no other enemy in any other place besides the Israeli enemy. For this reason, brother Yasser Arafat would say that he who shoots in the air lessens the revolution and doesn’t appreciate the value of weapons. The goal is to aim the rifle against the Israeli enemy and not at weddings, celebrations and events…”
PA TV host: “We really need things like these to be found in our society these days, whether in Palestinian [society] or in Lebanese [society].”
A map of Israel is shown.
Text on the map: “Glory and eternity for the upright Martyrs (Shahids) of Palestine.”
At the bottom of the map there is a Palestinian flag. The word Palestine written on the side of the picture.

Note: Khalil Al-Wazir (Abu Jihad) - was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks, including the most lethal in Israeli history, the hijacking of a bus and killing of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
