Umbrella terror org.: “Escalate resistance in all its forms” against Israel’s “unlimited war of extermination”
This article was published during the 2014 Gaza war as Hamas was firing thousands of rockets at Israel and as Israel was responding with Operation Protective Edge, which aimed at destroying Hamas' terror infrastructure and ability to launch rockets at Israel:
“The [Palestinian] National and Islamic Forces in the Ramallah and El-Bireh (i.e., in the West Bank) district called for a united position on the political level and on the ground to confront the ‘criminal and bloody’ Israeli aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip. In addition, they accused the occupation of harming defenseless citizens and of destroying homes in order to increase the number of casualties, as part of an unlimited war of extermination.
The forces called [on all citizens] to escalate the resistance in all its forms throughout the Palestinian territories, to inflame the villages against the occupation and its settlers, to block bypass roads and create points of friction, and said that any presence of the occupation on Palestinian land constituted a legitimate target from our people’s point of view, as determined by international decisions.”
