“Palestinian Parliament member Mustafa Barghouti said that the funeral of Martyr (Shahid) Muhannad Halabi (i.e., terrorist who stabbed two to death) is [the sign of] the beginning of the third intifada. Barghouti added to Wattan: ‘The funeral of Martyr Muhannad Halabi, thought to be the biggest in history in Ramallah and El-Bireh, is [a sign of] the beginning of the third intifada which has broken out in all the regions in which Palestinians are found.’ He added that what is happening in the field is thousands of young people going out to confront the occupation without fear of its bullets and [gas] grenades. In reality, there is an intifada, national battle, and general mobilization, as the Palestinians have chosen to die as Martyrs, while resisting.”
