Secretary of Fatah's Jordan branch Najib al-Qaddumi: “Therefore we say that the young people of the current uprising, that we bless, - we bless the Murabitin (i.e., those who carry out Ribat, religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) in Jerusalem, around the Al-Aqsa Mosque. We bless the heroes, the young men and women who, with their knives, kitchen knives, have begun defeating the armed Israeli soldier, who has begun to be afraid when he sees a young woman or a young man passing him on the street. They have broken the Israeli soldier’s morale. They wiped out the oppressive power which deceived them and exhausted them. If they [the Israelis] possess weapons, we possess the historical right, the faith in our cause.”
