Today, Oct. 27, is the anniversary of the death as a Martyr of Commander Firas Al-Jaber 'Abu Ghadab,' who ascended to Heaven as a Martyr after he fell victim to a Zionist assassination operation on this day.
Firas Al-Jaber was one of the outstanding founding commanders of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades (i.e., Fatah’s military wing) in Palestine and of the brigades of Martyr Dr. Thabet Thabet in the city of Tulkarem...
Today we in Fatah, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, and the brigades of Martyr Dr. Thabet Thabet in the Tulkarem district bow our heads in honor and admiration of the soul of the Martyr, the outstanding commander, Firas Al-Jaber, even as we renew the oath to his pure soul that we will remain loyal to his pure blood which watered the beloved land of Palestine, and emphasize that we will continue forward on his path of struggle until the liberation of the last bit our occupied land."

Firas Al-Jaber "Abu Ghadab" - a top commander in Fatah's military wing, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, who participated in the murder of 2 Israelis, Etgar Zaituni and Motti Dayan, in the Tulkarem area on Jan. 23, 2001, and in other shooting attacks in the Tulkarem area. He was killed by Israeli soldiers on Oct. 28, 2001.

Thabet Thabet was one of the founders of Tanzim (Fatah terror faction) in Tulkarem. Thabet was responsible for many shooting attacks against Israelis at the start of the 2000-2005 PA terror campaign (the second Intifada). Thabet was killed by the Israeli army on Dec. 31, 2000.
