PA TV host: Woman who carry out Ribat at Al-Aqsa Mosque ”thwart… dozens of invasion and defilement attempts by the herds of settlers, [and the] plans to take over the [Al-Aqsa] Mosque and build the alleged Temple in its place”
Official PA TV program From Jerusalem, about the Murabitat (woman carrying out Ribat, religious conflict/war to protect land claimed to be Islamic) of Jerusalem and schools of Quranic studies
Official PA TV host: “Despite the fact that the Al-Aqsa Mosque’s place in the hearts of Jerusalem’s [Arab] residents was the first source of inspiration for the thought of Ribat, it has grown stronger due to the Masatib Al-Alam [project] that has drawn many women and men who wished to receive lessons in religious law and memorization of the Quran in the [Al-Aqsa] Mosque plaza. Women who challenge the occupation using their voices to call over and over ‘Allah is great!’ along with slogans demanding their basic rights to freedom of worship and prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. They believe that Ribat at the Al-Aqsa Mosque is part of the Palestinian women’s role against the occupation.
The Murabitat phenomenon expresses Palestinian society’s awareness of what the occupation intends to do at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. There was and still is a critical role [for the Murabitat] in thwarting the dozens of invasion and defilement attempts by the herds of settlers, [and the] plans to take over the [Al-Aqsa] Mosque and build the alleged Temple in its place.”
The PA and its leaders consider all of the Temple Mount an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they view any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock.
