Grand Mufti of Jerusalem: Israel Judaizes Jerusalem and plans to destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque
“The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein… said: ‘Considering the escalation of the occupation’s attack on Jerusalem in an attempt to completely Judaize it, obscure its Islamic characteristics, [and] lay hands on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque… in addition to the threat of destroying the Al-Aqsa Mosque to establish the alleged Temple on its ruins – Heaven forbid – we wish to emphasize our previous religious rulings on the matter [of visits to the mosque by non-Palestinian Muslims, which read] as follows:
a. The plazas, walls, buildings, courtyards, domes, colonnades and stone benches of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, everything underneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque and everything above it, are Waqf (an inalienable religious endowment in Islamic law) until Judgment Day, and the Muslims have an exclusive right to them, which they share with no one."
