PA Foreign Ministry: Israel has long term plot to take over the Al-Aqsa Mosque and “Judaize Jerusalem”

“The [PA] Foreign Ministry condemned the all-out war being waged by the Israeli government, together with extreme Jewish organizations, against Jerusalem and its holy sites, the Jerusalem ‘Sanctuary’ (i.e., the Temple Mount) foremost, in order to completely Judaize Jerusalem and steal it from the Palestinian people, including the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque… The ministry stated: ‘The Israeli government is carrying out a planned occupation plot, prepared in advance and carried out in stages, to impose Israeli sovereignty over the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. This plot has been going on since the beginning of Jerusalem’s occupation by Israel in 1967, and it is taking advantage of the current situation in the Arab region and the preoccupation of the [Arab] countries and the world with it [the current situation], in order to escalate its activities and accelerate the implementation of its plots against the Jerusalem ‘Noble Sanctuary.’’”
