“Today, Monday [Sept. 28, 2015] morning, [Izz A-Din] Al-Qassam [Brigades (Hamas)] activist Majed Al-Sakani died as a Martyr (Shahid) in a resistance tunnel collapse in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood of Gaza city… In a short announcement, the Brigades stated that Al-Sakani died as a Martyr while working in one of the resistance tunnels. It should be noted that the resistance is carrying out extensive preparations, whether by excavating tunnels of all kinds, production of missiles, explosives, and bombs, or through field training and Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) in border areas.”
