PA Minister of Religious Affairs calls on Palestinians to "carry out Ribat continuously at the Al-Aqsa Mosque"

Headline: “Ida’is: Over 95 attacks and violations against the holy sites and houses of worship last month”
“[PA] Minister of Religious Affairs Sheikh Yusuf Ida’is said that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque stands before an unprecedented Israeli escalation in light of the rise in the rates of invasions by the groups of settlers who are currently enjoying wide influence…
Ida’is called on citizens to carry out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) continuously at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs), and not to give the occupation an opportunity, and he praised our residents’ standing firm on their land and their great sacrifices.”

The PA and its leaders consider all of the Temple Mount an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they view any presence of Jews on the mount as an “attack” or “invasion.” It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock.
