“PLO Executive Committee member Mahmoud Ismail emphasized that Jerusalem is a red line for the Palestinians, the Arab and Islamic world, and the Christians in the world, and we will not allow its sanctity to be harmed. Ismail said in an interview with Radio Mawtini today, Thursday [Jan. 19, 2017]: ‘The Palestinian leadership is determined to banish and pursue the occupation government in the international circles, and to present its actions before the international circles…’
He said that in his opinion, it would not be wise on the part of American President[-elect Donald] Trump to transfer the embassy to Jerusalem, and noted that it is forbidden to transfer a country’s embassy to occupied land, because this contradicts international regulations and laws.”
