PA Min. of Health spokesman, after Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital: US decisions that harm us are “declarations of war against the Palestinian people"

Official PA TV, special broadcast on responses to US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and transfer the US embassy to Jerusalem, hosting PA Ministry of Health Spokesman Osama Al-Najjar

Official PA TV host: “As long as [the US] does not take notice of the language of threats to its interests, it is likely that this [language] is something necessary from all the [Arab] states and brothers – that they do something like this [and] cause the American administration to feel that it will pay a price for these foolish, uncalculated, and ominous decisions, which are not based on law or legitimacy.”
PA Ministry of Health Spokesman Osama Al-Najjar: “In other words, they need to feel, as you noted, that every decision that is made that harms the Palestinian people is a declaration of war against the Palestinian people, against international legitimacy, and against the Arab and Muslim nation. We must make the US feel that all of its interests are in the sights of the Palestinian people and the Arab and  Muslim nation, and that its economy has also entered these sights. We, as the Palestinian people, must boycott everything that is connected to the US on all levels. As [Palestinian] government institutions, there must be an all-inclusive boycott – and let there not be a claim among us that this needs [to be boycotted] and this does not need [to be boycotted] – an all-inclusive boycott of everything connected to Israel, and if there will be immediate steps and steps on the ground- I say that this battle has opened the door to a battle to liberate Palestine and end the Israeli occupation over our land and our people, because we cannot continue to talk about an American patron. Currently, the truth is that there is no American patron, and we have illusions that there is an American patron –there is an American enemy that does whatever it pleases against the members of our people, and does all that the previous American administrations could not do. Therefore, currently our Palestinian people must confront the US and Israel.”

US recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel - On Dec. 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and instructed the State Department to begin preparations to transfer the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Trump added that the final borders of Jerusalem will be determined during negotiations.
