Op-ed in official PA daily defends terrorist who murdered Israeli, while insulting US Ambassadors Friedman and Haley

Excerpt of an op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily

Headline: “Friedman the settler”

“US Ambassador [to Israel] David Friedman’s attack on the PA following the shooting operation (i.e., terror attack, 1 murdered, see note below) in which an Israeli settler was killed two days ago [Jan. 9, 2018] was unsurprising. This is because he is a partner to the Israeli colonialist Zionist viewpoint, since he himself was a settler in Jerusalem before he received his current role as a representative of the American administration (sic., Friedman has owned a home in the Jerusalem neighborhood of T albiyeh, which is not over the 1949 Armistice line). He has even outdone the Israelis, like his administration that is exaggerating in its hostility to the Palestinian national rights, and incited against the PA by saying: ‘Hamas praises murderers, and the PA laws provide them with a financial reward. Don’t look for additional reasons why there is no peace.’…
I have thousands of questions to ask this American-Israeli settler. Where is he and where are human rights? Where is he and where is peace? And what peace is he talking about? Is the Palestinian victim required to remain a captive of the American and Israeli colonialist logic? When his rights are violated is he required to lower his head before the dictates of the US and Israel and ‘apologize’ or ‘condemn’ an act done by a citizen who could no longer bear the situation, and who had all of his interests and private and public life violated?
The Palestinians completely reject the logic of masters and slaves. They will continue to defend their national rights and interests every day, and will not agree to [US President Donald] Trump, Friedman, that ugly woman [US Ambassador to the UN Nikki] Haley, [US Vice President Mike] Pence, [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, [Israeli Minister of Education Naftali] Bennett, or [Israeli Minister of Defense Avigdor] Liberman forcing their will on them.”

Rabbi Raziel Shevach - 35-year-old Israeli father of six murdered in a drive-by shooting on Jan. 9, 2018, near Havat Gilad, in the Nablus area. The Palestinian terrorists who murdered Shevach fled the scene in their vehicle.
In response to the attack, US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman wrote on Twitter the following day: "An Israeli father of six was killed last night in cold blood by Palestinian terrorists. Hamas praises the killers and PA laws will provide them financial rewards. Look no further to why there is no peace. Praying for the bereaved Shevach family."
