PLO Chief Negotiator celebrates the UN’s failure to condemn Hamas and its actions, calls US Ambassador Haley’s defense of Israel “shameful and unethical”

Headline: "The PLO: What took place at the UN is a victory for the Palestinian unity against the American-Israeli arrogance"

"PLO Executive Committee Secretary [and Fatah Central Committee member] Saeb Erekat emphasized that [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas, the PLO Executive Committee, the Fatah Movement Central Committee, and the Palestinian [PA] national unity government granted a victory to the Palestinian unity and placed the supreme Palestinian interests above all other considerations. This was when they stood against the unjust American-Israeli attempts to consider the Hamas Movement a terrorist movement, which [US Ambassador to the UN] Nikki Haley hoped would be the high point of her blind bias in favor of the occupation and her shameful and unethical defense of the war crimes that the occupation authority, Israel, commits. Erekat said in a statement yesterday [Dec. 7, 2018]: 'History will remember unfavorably Nikki Haley’s approach towards the Palestinian people’s legal national rights and its right to freedom, independence, and the realization of the independence of the State of Palestine in the June 4, 1967 borders, whose capital is East Jerusalem.’"

Saeb Erekat also holds the position of PLO Chief Negotiator.

UN Resolution condemning Hamas - The US proposed a resolution to condemn the terror organization Hamas for firing rockets into Israel and inciting violence, and demanding that it and other terrorist groups such as Islamic Jihad cease their terror activities, including the use of airborne incendiaries. The proposal was voted on by the UN General Assembly on Dec. 6, 2018. Although it received a majority of the votes, the proposal did not receive the two thirds needed to be ratified.
