PA daily editorial: Trump is threatening world peace

Official PA daily editorial

Headline: “Trump and world peace”
“After US President Donald Trump suspended his country’s commitments in the framework of the intermediate-range nuclear missiles treaty (i.e., the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces treaty), and threatened to completely leave it within six months… it is clearly seen that Trump and his current administration are seeking nothing but to create crises for the entire world. Moreover, he is now threatening world peace, and through these positions he is paving the way for a new arms race, and perhaps for a war that will not be cold…
A fact that the international community must recognize is that when American President Trump, together with his current administration, announced the deal of the century (referring to Trump’s as yet unpublished Middle East peace plan –Ed.), he just declared war against a just and possible peace in the Middle East… The present American administration led by Trump is not hostile only to the Palestinian people and its legitimate aspirations; as it beats the war drums now and creates crises everywhere, it has become hostile to the aspirations of the free peoples, whoever they may be, to justice, dignity, and peace. The international community must see this clearly and take a brave position that will put an end to this racist arrogance before it is too late.”

US President Donald Trump announced that the US would suspend its commitments to the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty as of Feb. 1, 2019, and that in six months it would submit official notice of completely leaving the treaty unless Russia destroys its missiles, launchers, and other equipment that violate the treaty.
