Dalal Mughrabi’s terror attack was “one of the most daring heroic operations”
PA TV program Personal Encounter interviews Jamal Skaf, brother of Yahya Skaf, who participated in the terror attack lead by Dalal Mughrabi, the most lethal in Israel’s history. In 1978, a group of terrorists hijacked a bus and killed 37 Israeli civilians. Skaf was apparently killed during the attack. The Lebanese authorities claim that Yahya Skaf is incarcerated in an Israeli prison, despite Israel’s denials.
The terrorist’s brother Jamal: “He (a released prisoner) came to our house and informed us that he had seen Yahya and that Yahya was wounded. That he had several injuries. He met him in one of the Israeli prisons, but the Israeli enemy put Yahya in different cells than the ones the regular prisoners are in – the administrative prisoners or the prisoners we know about – those who carried out simple operations (i.e., terror attacks) or those we consider to be heroes and fighters but who they consider to be criminals or people with blood on their hands. [The incident with] Yahya was one of the hardest for the Israeli enemy – his operation was one of the most daring heroic operations that shocked the exploiting enemy entity.”

The terrorist’s brother Jamal: “It’s known that Yahya Skaf carried out the Martyr (Shahid) Kamal Adwan operation (i.e., most lethal terror attack in Israel’s history in 1978) led by sister-Martyr Dalal Mughrabi within the framework of the Palestinian revolutionary forces – the Fatah movement, the Al-Asifa (Fatah unit) forces which were led by Dalal Mughrabi and directed by the brother commander Martyr Abu Jihad, [Khalil] Al-Wazir. This is the heroic operation carried out by the Fatah movement in addition to other operations, major operations, in the confrontation with this Israeli enemy.”
