PA daily: Israeli defense Minister Sharon ordered massacre

“It is now the 28. anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacre, which led to the deaths of hundreds or thousands of innocent and defenseless Palestinians in those refugee camps, following the invasion of the city of Beirut, capital of Lebanon, by the army of aggression, occupation and Israeli organized crime… Sharon, historically known for his bloody, fascist tendencies, wanted to evoke the terror of the Zionist movement, organized and deeply rooted in its texture, in its groups and in its various ideologies, by carrying out a new act of massacre. This was aimed at inculcating the orders of murdering Palestinian and Arab non-Jews within the Israeli military establishment and the forces connected to it and collaborating with it. So it was on Sept. 17, 1982, in the wake of the departure of the revolutionary forces – the PLO – from wounded Beirut, that forces of crime, terror and racism of the Israeli army and its allies, the ‘separatist forces’ [derogatory name for the Lebanese forces, a militia of Christians in the war] hurried to carry out a massacre there against members of the Palestinian people, in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps.”
