PA daily oped: “The fascist State of Israel,” representing “colonialist” US and other states, promotes global terror groups, while Palestinian resistance is not considered terror

Headline: “No to terror”

Excerpt of op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, in his regular column in the official PA daily

“If you wish to examine a specific definition of terror… you can adopt the following explanation:

Terror is a criminal and barbaric act, which is not connected to any people, human race, or religion…

Whatever the forces, organizations, or people that stand behind it, it is a wild law-breaking group, and has no connection to peoples’ struggle for liberation, and particularly [not] to the struggle of the Palestinian people… the Israeli ethnic cleansing state is the first address for all that is connected to the creation of global terror, without forgetting the role of the capitalist states in general – also in East Europe and not only in the West – and of third world countries…

As stated, there is a difference between states and between groups. But the main element creating terror as of this moment is the colonialist states, who continue to steal the resources of the peoples through the new colonial model, the massive globalization system and its colonialist base – the fascist State of Israel. [This state] continues – before the eyes and ears of the world – its open policy of taking over the rights, interests, resources, and lands of the Palestinian people. It acts together with the US to create all the Takfir (i.e., the act of accusing other Muslims of heresy) groups from various religions and nationalities, whatever they may be called, and supports them…

Whoever wants to be cleansed of terror and its destructive consequences must first fight the Israeli terror, put an end to the colonialist injustice caused to the Palestinian people, act to liberate it and establish its independent sovereign state on Palestinian land, and guarantee the right of return of its refugees to their lands, on the basis of international organizations’ decisions.”
