“[PLO Executive Committee Member and Head of the Department for Jerusalem Affairs Ahmed] Qurei warned of the danger inherent in the Israeli occupation authorities’ attempts to change the Al-Aqsa Mosque into a Jewish museum through excavation activities and forgeries… This, in addition to constructing Jewish synagogues in the depths of the excavations that are being carried out by what is called the ‘Israel Antiquities Authority’ and the Jerusalem Municipality.”
