PA Minister of Religious Affairs: Israel is carrying out “daily invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque… to storm the Mosque and completely take control of it”

Ida'is added that the occupation is attempting – through daily invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza, blockading it, searching everyone that enters it, limiting the entrance of worshippers according to a certain age, interfering in its matters, carrying out a policy of deception, forging the Arab and Islamic heritage, and the new-old excavations under and around the Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza – to storm the Mosque and completely take control of it. Ida'is said that the Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza is a completely Islamic site, and it is our right to pray at it and to enter and exit it any time we wish, and that the occupation has no ties to it."
The PA and its leaders consider all of the Temple Mount an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they view any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock.
