PA Islamic-Christian Council warns of Israeli "plot to Judaize the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in preparation for the dream of the Jews to establish the Temple on its ruins"

Headline: “The [PA] Islamic-Christian Council: Public calls to invade the Al-Aqsa Mosque”
“The [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places today, Monday [April 3, 2017], warned against the attempts of the ‘alleged Temple organizations’ to call on settlers to broadly participate in group invasions of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque starting this Thursday, in preparation for large events for the Hebrew Passover holiday in the middle of the this month.
The council said in a statement that the daily invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque plazas by dozens of extremists under the protection of the occupation forces are part of the Israeli occupation state’s progress in its plot to Judaize the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in preparation for the dream of the Jews to establish the Temple on its ruins.”

"Alleged Temple organizations" refer to religious Jewish movements including the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation, The Initiative for Jewish Freedom on the Temple Mount and Students for the Temple Mount, which spread awareness of the importance of the Temple Mount in Judaism and encourage people to visit the site. Preceding the Purim holiday, religious websites such as the Temple Mount News website [Feb. 23, 2015] announced a "special visit" to the Temple Mount, which was expected to draw "masses of Jews."

The PA and its leaders consider all of the Temple Mount an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they view any presence of Jews on the mount as an “invasion.” It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock.
