PLO official praises riots and “intifada” for the Al-Aqsa Mosque

Headline: “Palestinian condemnation of the occupation’s violations in occupied Jerusalem”
“The [PA] national unity government yesterday [July 21, 2017] again demanded that the world fulfill its obligations and act urgently to stop the dangerous escalation in the occupied Arab city of Jerusalem…
It added that the occupation government is rejecting all of the Arab, international, and regional calls, demands, and pressures to stop the steps it is taking (refers to Israel placing metal detectors at the entrances to the Temple Mount following a terror attack there on July 14, 2017, in which 2 Israelis were murdered; see note below –Ed.), and is continuing the dangerous escalation policy through its insistence on trying to change the historical status quo at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and in the occupied Arab city of Jerusalem – which constitutes a blatant and completely unacceptable attack on the holiest site to the Arabs and Muslims (sic., the Kaaba in Mecca is the holiest site in Islam, the Al-Aqsa Mosque is considered the third holiest site)…
Likewise, the Fatah Movement said that the arrest of its senior officials and activists in occupied Jerusalem will not frighten us or cause us to accept the policy of determining facts on the ground, which Israel is trying to impose in Jerusalem and around the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It emphasized that the solution is to remove the metal detectors, cancel all of the steps that were taken recently, and allow the Palestinians to enter their places of worship and their city in peace and without limitations…
Secretary-General of the Palestinian Liberation Front and PLO Executive Committee member Wasel Abu Yusuf emphasized that our people is rising up (the root of the word is intifada –Ed.) at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and in Jerusalem with tireless determination in order to defend its Islamic and Christian holy sites… In an interview with the media, Abu Yusuf added that our people’s intifada in Jerusalem and throughout the Palestinian West Bank, as part of the popular day of rage against the occupation’s steps and the actions of the herds of settlers, is thwarting all of the plans being developed by the occupation government and its ally, the American administration.”

Muhammad Ahmad Muhammad Jabarin, Muhammad Hamed Abd Al-Latif Jabarin, and Muhammad Ahmad Mufaddal Jabarin - Israeli Arab terrorists aged 29, 19, and 19, who shot from the Temple Mount at Israeli policemen, murdering 2 Israeli Druze border policemen - Haiel Stawi and Kamil Shnaan, on July 14, 2017.
