Official PA daily accuses Israel of murdering 22-year-old "in cold blood"

Headline: “The occupation cold-bloodedly executed a young man from the Jalazone refugee camp while he was working near Ein Siniya”
“Yesterday [Jan. 29, 2014] occupation forces executed young Muhammad Mahmoud Mubarak (22 years old) [parentheses in source] from the Jalazone refugee camp in cold blood while he was working for a public contracting company paving a road near the village of Ein Siniya, north of Ramallah.
Occupation soldiers shot at young Mubarak, wounded him and left him to bleed on the ground, until he died a Martyr (Shahid). Israeli sources claimed the Martyr had shot at soldiers at the site and they reacted. However, his coworkers said Mubarak had been directing drivers with a sign on a stick when occupation soldiers arrived, grabbed it provocatively and shot him from behind; proof that he had not confronted them.
The Palestinian Ministry of Public Works said in a public announcement made by Minister of [Public] Works Maher Ghneim, that it condemns the killing of the young man. He [Ghneim] noted that he [Mubarak] had been murdered ‘in cold blood’ while working on a road construction project…
Ghneim denied Israeli media reports, which are based on the Israeli army’s version of events, according to which the young man tried to attack an army post. He said in the announcement that ‘Anyone who distorts such facts is an accomplice.”
