"The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" presented as truth in Palestinian schoolbook
In 2004 the PA Ministry of Education chose to add the libel of the Protocols to the official Palestinian school curriculum with this schoolbook text:
“There is a group of confidential resolutions adopted by the [First Zionist] Congress and known by the name “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” the goal of which was world domination. They were brought to light by Sergey Nilos and translated into Arabic by Muhammad Khalifah Al-Tunisi.” [History of the Modern and Contemporary World, Grade 10 (2004) p. 60-61]
Note: During a lecture in European Parliament in 2005, PMW alerted MEP’s to this text, among them members from countries that had funded the writing of PA schoolbooks. Following European pressure this text was removed in subsequent editions of the book.
