Clinton made up for it … with the support she provided for the presentation of a new report on the anti-Israel bias in Palestinian textbooks. The report by Palestinian Media Watch examines six books written in 2006, which, according to the report, depict "a world without Israel." The most problematic aspect, in Clinton's view as well: the portrayal of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a religious conflict rather than a national one. Anyone looking for the diplomatic horizon isn't likely to find it in these books. The books mention American financial support for Israel. But there is no mention of the financial aid to the Palestinians, which Rice was working hard on as recently as this week, at the meeting of the Quartet.
