PLO official condemns Israeli normalization with UAE, claims Israel government is “murdering our children, women, young people, and elderly”

"PLO Executive Committee member [and head of the PLO Military and Security Department] Saleh Rafat strongly condemned the fact that the [United] Arab Emirates state is normalizing its relations with the Israeli occupation state, by hosting Israeli Minister of Communications Ayoob Kara yesterday [Oct. 30, 2018], and Israeli Minister of Culture and Sport Miri Regev a few days earlier, in the capital of the Emirates, Abu Dhabi. Rafat said today (Wednesday) in a statement: 'It is shameful that the Israeli national anthem is being played in Arab states, while Arab Palestine is collapsing under the occupation's tyranny and its violence. [It is shameful] that Arab states are becoming a podium from which the Israeli war criminals – who are treating our land as theirs and murdering our children, women, young people, and elderly – are giving speeches. Kara's visit to the Emirates and Israel's speech at the International Telecommunication Union Plenipotentiary Conference at the Dubai World Trade Center (delivered by Ayoob Kara; see note below –Ed.) is normalization granted to Israel for free.'"
