Fatah official calls terrorist who led killing of 37 a "hero"

Awdah TV, Fatah-run  |

Fatah Revolutionary Council member, Muwaffaq Matar: "No one would have believed that this baby, ‎this toddler in her mother’s arms, is the one that would become the hero and commander Dalal ‎Mughrabi. During the Kamal Adwan operation (i.e., bus hijacking and killing of 37) in the 1970’s, she ‎declared the Republic of Palestine, on the occupied seashore of Palestine, when she commanded an ‎operation with 12 self-sacrificing fighters. It was a heroic operation, which is studied in the military ‎academies until this day. Who would have imagined that the man in this photograph, the father of this ‎toddler, would become the father of the hero and commander, Martyr Dalal Mughrabi?‎"

Note: Dalal Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel's history, known as the Coastal Road ‎massacre, in 1978, when she and other Fatah terrorists hijacked a bus on Israel's Coastal Highway, ‎killing 37 civilians, 12 of them children, and wounding over 70. The "Kamal Adwan operation" is the ‎Palestinian name for this terror attack.‎
