Posted text: "[PA] President Mahmoud Abbas will award prisoner commander Nasser Awais (i.e., terrorist, murdered 14), who is sentenced to 14 life sentences, the rank of major general as a sign of appreciation for his struggle and sacrifice for the homeland. It should be noted that prisoner Awais from the Balata Refugee Camp east of Nablus, together with a group of his friends, established the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades (i.e., Fatah's military wing) in a direct appointment by [former PA] President Yasser Arafat…
Nasser Awais was the first to establish the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in the homeland and was the secretary-general of the Brigades. The occupation forces expelled him and his name was included on the list of assassination targets until he was arrested in the Tubas district and sentenced to 14 life sentences for being behind many Martyrdom-seeking operations (i.e. terror attacks).
All of the ranks are small for your stature and the stature of the giants of the struggle.
Blessings on this decision that serves the national path."

Fatah Facebook commemorates Munich Olympics Massacre
Source: Official Fatah Facebook page, Sept. 5, 2018

Text and picture posted on the official Fatah Facebook page

“For the 46th anniversary of the Munich operation (i.e., terror attack, 11 murdered): Commander Martyr Salah Khalaf, Abu Iyad (i.e. terrorist, responsible for murder of more than 13), wrote in his book Palestinian Without an Identity: ‘The motive behind the Munich operation was the refusal of the Olympic Games Committee to include Palestinian athletes in the 1972 Olympics, claiming that in reality Palestine does not exist. The goal was to draw the world’s attention to the Palestinian cause and to demand the release of 200 Arab and foreign prisoners from the Israeli prisons.’”

The Munich Olympics massacre - a terrorist attack perpetrated by the Palestinian terror organization Black September, a secret branch of Fatah, during the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, in which they murdered 11 members of the Israeli Olympic team.

Abu Iyad (Salah Khalaf) - PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat’s deputy, one of the founders of Fatah, and head of the terror organization Black September, a secret branch of Fatah. Attacks he planned include the murder of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics (Sept. 5, 1972) and the murder of two American diplomats in Sudan (March 1, 1973). It is commonly assumed that his assassin, a former Fatah bodyguard, was sent by the Abu Nidal Organization, a rival Palestinian faction.

Fatah TV host anticipates taking Israelis hostage to “release our captives”

Fatah Deputy Chairman Mahmoud Al-Aloul
: “They [Fatah fighters] shouted at them [Israeli soldiers] to lay down their weapons... There were six of them. The guys arranged them in one row, took their weapons from them, and ordered them to raise their hands... The two [additional Israeli] soldiers who were behind the hill advanced... laid their weapons on the ground, and raised their hands...”
Fatah-run Awdah TV host Muwaffaq Matar: “We had... ‘the hens that would lay golden eggs’... the [Israeli] captives through whom, or through the exchange of whom, about 5,000 Palestinian prisoners were released... We think that this Palestinian wisdom… of the Palestinian fighter will undoubtedly bring a new victory and a new quality operation one day. The conditions might have changed, and the means might change, but this hope and this promise will release our prisoners.”

This is an anniversary for the fighting willpower, the victory, and the standing against the army of the occupiers and their arsenal: Four young Fatah members captured eight Israeli soldiers. The occupation soldiers were superior in number and equipment over the four self-sacrificing fighters (Fedayeen), but the willpower brought victory to the sons of Fatah.
What we need today is the optimism that our enemies’ power is feeble, and that we have enough bodies of power to be optimistic about the future, despite the attempts to spread despair in our ranks."

2. He converted to Islam at age 24 and participated in the Lod Airport operation in 1972, in which 26 Zionists were killed (sic., 24 were murdered, 8 Israelis and 16 foreign tourists). He was taken captive (sic., arrested) after his ammunition ran out.
