Fatah cartoon celebrates “victory” over Israel following removal of security measures on Temple Mount

Cartoon posted on the official Fatah Facebook page

The cartoon shows a disheveled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dressed in an army uniform and walking away from the Temple Mount, carrying a metal detector on his back and a security camera and boot hanging around his neck, while three Palestinians joyously embrace and are embraced by the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Dome of the Rock, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, as one of them waves a Palestinian flag. The cartoon refers to the Palestinians’ feeling of victory after Israel removed the metal detectors and security cameras that it placed on the Temple Mount following an attack there on July 14, 2017, in which 2 Israelis were murdered (see note below).
The text on the cartoon - "Victory is better than sleep" - is apparently meant to encourage Palestinians to celebrate their "victory" into the night.
