Ramallah elementary school visits home of murderer

Headline:
“A visit to [the home of] the village’s most veteran prisoner – the girls of the Deir Qaddis Elementary School for Girls – Ramallah”
“To mark Palestinian Prisoner's Day, the Deir Qaddis Elementary School for Girls arranged a scout activity: a visit to the home of the village’s most veteran prisoner, Muhammad Issa Steih. School Principal Mrs. Suad Nasser encouraged the visit. It should be noted that the prisoner was sentenced to life over 12 years ago.
These activities are taking place as part of a program planned by the school administration, which is aimed at strengthening the ties between the school and the local community, visiting the homes of the village’s prisoners, and forming a bond with them.
During the visit, one of the girls gave a speech before the prisoner’s mother.”

Text on poster: “Heroic prisoner Muhammad Issa Steih.”

Muhammad Issa Steih – Palestinian terrorist who participated in the Ramallah lynching on Oct. 12, 2000, in which a Palestinian mob brutally murdered and mutilated the bodies of two Israeli reserve soldiers, Vadim Nurzhitz and Yossi Avrahami, who had accidentally entered Ramallah. He is serving a life sentence.

Zayzafuna is a PLO magazine for children funded by the PA. The magazine, which includes material written by both the magazine’s staff and child readers, represents the values of the educators and serves as a window into the minds of the Palestinian children submitting material to the magazine. PMW’s book Deception includes a chapter on Zayzafuna. Following PMW’s exposure of Hitler glorification in the February 2011 issue, UNESCO halted its funding of the magazine.
