PA says teenage killer who murdered Israeli was victim
  • PA: Israel shot the boy, "claiming that he killed a settler"

  • PA: The boy "was wounded by a number of bullets fired by the occupation's soldiers (sic., Israeli civilians) ... and this was after he stabbed a settler according to the Israeli occupation's version"
By Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik

Yesterday, a Palestinian teenager, Khalil Jabarin, stabbed and murdered Israeli Ari Fuld in the parking lot of a supermarket. Before succumbing to his wounds, Fuld, together with another civilian, shot and wounded Jabarin, which led to his capture.

Today, the PA is portraying terrorist murderer Jabarin as a victim of an unprovoked Israeli shooting. The headline in the official PA daily indicated that he had not even attacked anyone:

Headline: "The shooting and wounding of the boy Khalil Jabarin, and his arrest claiming that he killed a settler next to 'Etzion'" (emphasis added)

The report continued to insinuate this, stating that Jabarin "stabbed a settler according to the Israeli occupation's version," and even accused Israel of neglecting the injured terrorist, claiming he was "left bleeding on the ground for more than 20 minutes":

"The boy Jabarin was wounded by a number of bullets fired by the occupation's soldiers (sic., by two Israeli civilians, one of whom Jabarin had just stabbed and mortally wounded) next to the '[Gush] Etzion' Junction, and this was after he stabbed a settler according to the Israeli occupation's version. He was left bleeding on the ground for more than 20 minutes, and then was transferred to the hospital. Jabarin is an 11th grade student in a science study track."
[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 17, 2018]

This is a typical example of the PA's modus operandi whenever a terrorist is killed or injured while committing a terror attack. The PA routinely describes Israel's self-defense measures to stop the terrorist as an attack on the Palestinian terrorist who is portrayed as an innocent "victim." Palestinian Media Watch reported extensively on this PA tactic during the terror wave in 2015/16, when the PA and Fatah claimed that the many terrorists committing stabbing attacks were "innocent" victims.

Official PA TV host 1: "Yesterday [Oct. 12, 2015] was a sad and bloody day in occupied Jerusalem: 3 Martyrs were executed [by Israel] in cold blood (i.e., terrorists who murdered 3). The photos and videos posted by activists on social media showed the cruelty and racism of the occupation as it deals with [Palestinian] residents of Jerusalem. The pretext is ready [in advance], the Israeli media is ready [in advance], and the Israeli version, security-wise and politically, is ready [in advance]: a stabbing attempt... When the settler, the policeman, and the border policeman may suspect that they are trying to carry out a specific action, the shooting and the Israeli version are ready [in advance]."
Official PA TV host 2: "These are executions of [Arab] citizens. The Arab is constantly exposed to cold-blooded murder for no reason, only because he is an Arab resident of Jerusalem..."
Official PA TV host 1:"The Israeli version is always fabricated and false..."
Official PA TV host 2: "Yesterday it was clear in one of the videos. After the assassination of one of the Martyrs, they [the Israelis] asked about the knife: "Where is the knife?" There was a settler who pulled out a knife. They [the Israelis] have the knives ready in case they target someone. They have the knives ready."
[Official PA TV, Oct. 13, 2015]

Later, the official PA daily admitted that 161 Palestinians did carry out stabbing attacks.

The following is a longer excerpt of the official PA daily's report on the terror attack:

Headline: "The shooting and wounding of the boy Khalil Jabarin, and his arrest claiming that he killed a settler next to 'Etzion' - settlers rioted and damaged residents' cars on the roads between Nablus and Bethlehem"
"The [PLO] Commission of Prisoners' Affairs announced last night [Sept. 16, 2018] that the medical condition of the wounded prisoner - the boy Khalil Jabarin (16) (i.e., terrorist, murdered 1) from the city of Yatta in the Hebron district - has stabilized.
The Commission announced that the boy Jabarin is now lying in the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, and the Commission's lawyer, Karim Ajoun, has succeeded in visiting him, and the staff that is treating [Jabarin] let [Ajoun] know that his condition is stable, and that he was wounded by a number of bullets in [different] parts of his body.
The Commission held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the life of the boy Jabarin, particularly since he is lying in the hospital bed while his hands and legs are bound, and there is inhuman treatment by the occupation's soldiers and policemen, who are guarding him closely.
It should be noted that the boy Jabarin was wounded by a number of bullets fired by the occupation's soldiers (sic., by two Israeli civilians, one of whom Jabarin had just stabbed and critically wounded) next to the '[Gush] Etzion' Junction, and this was after he stabbed a settler according to the Israeli occupation's version. He was left bleeding on the ground for more than 20 minutes, and then was transferred to the hospital. Jabarin is an 11th grade student in a science study track."
[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 17, 2018]

Khalil Jabarin - 16-year-old Palestinian terrorist who stabbed and murdered 45-year-old Israeli American civilian Ari Fuld, a father of four, in a supermarket parking lot at Gush Etzion Junction, south of Jerusalem, on Sept. 16, 2018. Before succumbing to his wounds Fuld, together with another civilian at the scene, shot and wounded Jabarin, leading to his capture.
