Fatah: “Britain [must] take full responsibility for the consequences of the wretched promise” (i.e., Balfour Declaration)

The image shows a white circular logo with a keffiyeh (Arab headdress) pattern on it. Inside the circle appears the number “100” with the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas in place of the “1.” A red dot appears on the map with the label “Jerusalem” in English and Arabic. The numbers “00” have an image of what appear to be Palestinian refugees imposed on them. Above and below the number “100” in English and Arabic respectively is the hashtag “#Balfour100,” indicating the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration. “A change in the logo (the previous logo for the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration was identical, aside from the black circle around the logo being in the colors of the Palestinian flag –Ed.)
#The_Fatah_Movement is publishing the logo for the 100th anniversary of the ominous Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration). It demands that Britain take full responsibility for the consequences of the wretched promise, and the damage, disasters, pain, and expulsion that were caused to the Palestinian people. It also emphasizes the demand that the government of Britain to fully recognize the rights of the Palestinian people, and prime among them recognition of the Palestinian state, and that Britain must bear legal and moral responsibility for this decision (i.e., the Balfour Declaration).

The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” and is seen as the basis for later international commitments to establish the State of Israel.
