PA TV host and magazine editor deny Jewish historical ties to the land of Israel

Official PA TV, special broadcast on US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, hosting Editor-in-Chief of the Siyasat Magazine Atef Abu Saif

Official PA TV host: “Israelis historians are coming out and saying: ‘We have proven, and the attempts have proven after 50 years of searching and research, that there is nothing that indicates a Jewish civilization (sic. , such evidence abounds).’”
Editor-in-Chief of the Siyasat Magazine Atef Abu Saif: “The Jews passed through. Their original name is the Hebrews. They actually- if we want to count how many people have passed through our land and we hosted them, fed them, gave them drink, and said, ‘We will build you a home next to us here,’ then it works out that all of the peoples of the world- and that is the value of Palestine. However, the Zionist racism came to change reality. In other words, if we- after all, the P ersians lived with us (sic., there were no Palestinians during the Persian occupation of the Land of Israel in the 6th-4th century BCE). This is the land of the civilizations. The world was created here. The first civilian was here. The first Martyr (Shahid) was here. The first fighter was here. Man contended with nature here and began to domesticate nature, and he distinguished between the forest and the city, and domesticated the animals and tamed them. Therefore, it is impossible to say anything bad about the Palestinian people. The entire world wants Palestine, but it is not the right of anyone other than the Palestinian civilians, who are the descendants of this huge river of the civilizations, this great river of heritage and cultural values. They are the only ones who own this land.”
