Editor of magazine on PA TV praises “great Martyrs” who did “the right thing”

Chief Editor of the Siyasat magazine Atef Abu Saif: “From the outbreak of the modern Palestinian revolution, the Palestinian leadership has never thought about the cost, because if you think about the cost – dozens of the founding leaders died as Martyrs (Shahids). The Palestinian leadership does not think about the cost because that is not the role of politics, [the Palestinian leadership] thinks about the cost that the Palestinian people needs to pay… The Palestinian leadership has never been afraid to pay any cost necessary for [the Palestinian people]. This is a path on which Martyrs died; from Yasser Arafat to Abu Ali Mustafa (i.e., secretary-general of the terror organization PFLP), great Martyrs have followed the path and believed they did the right thing. Therefore we mention them after their death, and my children, their children, your children, my grandchildren, and your grandchildren will continue to mention them, because they did the right thing and chose correctly.”
Abu Ali Mustafa - Secretary-General of the terror organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). The PFLP, which rejected the Oslo Accords (1993), has planned and carried out numerous terror attacks against Israeli civilians since its founding in 1967 and throughout the Palestinian terror campaign between 2000-2005 (the Intifada).
