PA depicts a world without Israel
Future: A world without Israel
PA depicts a world without Israel
The Palestinian Authority makes no attempt to educate its people towards peace and coexistence with Israel. On the contrary, from every possible platform it repeatedly rejects Israel's right to exist, presents the conflict as a religious battle for Islam, depicts the establishment of Israel as an act of imperialism, and perpetuates a picture of the Middle East, both verbally and visually, in which Israel does not exist at all. Israel's destruction is said to be both inevitable and a Palestinian obligation.

The following description of Israel's founding in a Palestinian schoolbook represents the dominant dogma about Israel:

"Palestine’s war ended with a catastrophe that is unprecedented in history, when the Zionist gangs stole Palestine … and established the so-called State of Israel."
[Arabic Language, Analysis, Literature and Criticism, grade 12, p. 104]

This official PA map of "Palestine” was broadcast on PA TV in September 2011. The map includes both the PA areas and all of Israel (excluding the Golan Heights) wrapped in the Palestinian flag - a symbol of Palestinian sovereignty over the whole area - and has a key through it, symbolizing ownership. Similar maps presenting all of Israel as "Palestine" appear in Palestinian schoolbooks and are shown regularly on PA TV.
Future: A world without Israel
The PA promises its people that in the future, the State of Israel will be completely erased and replaced by a State of Palestine. A Fatah member of Palestinian parliament, Najat Abu Bakr, told PA TV that the PA supports and adopts the “stages plan.” To the world, the PA claims that the Palestinians seek the West Bank and Gaza Strip, when in fact the goal is all of Israel: “It doesn’t mean that we don’t want the 1948 borders, but in our current political program we say we want a state on the 1967 borders.” [PA TV (Fatah), Aug. 25, 2008]

Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki reiterated this position on Al-Jazeera TV:
“It is impossible to realize the inspiring idea or the great goal in one stroke… Israel will come to an end… If I say that I want to remove it from existence, this will be great, great, [but] it is hard. This is not a [stated] policy. You can't say it to the world. You can say it to yourself.” [Al-Jazeera TV, Sept. 23, 2011]

The following words from a song on official PA TV, which started to appear in 2012, expresses longing for the day that Jaffa, Acre, Haifa and the Galilee, all in Israel, will be part of “my country” (“Palestine”) where all cities would be accessible "with no borders":
"I wish I could enter my country with no borders...
I will go about in Bethlehem and in Al-Aqsa [Mosque], which is held captive...
I do not forget Jenin or Nablus, and the Galilee
I do not forget you, Jaffa…
To Jerusalem, to Ramle, to Acre, to Haifa, oh Lord...
I wish I could enter my country with no borders." [PA TV (Fatah), Feb. 9, 2012]

The PA’s using culture to long for the destruction of Israel is not new. Many examples can be seen in this section below, including a music video, which aired on official PA TV from 2007 – 2009 and promises the liberation of “Palestine,” listing numerous Israeli cities as “Palestine”:
"We will liberate the Land of the religions … Palestine is Arab in history and identity… From Jerusalem and Acre, from Haifa and Jericho and Gaza and Ramallah, from Bethlehem and Jaffa, Be'er Sheba and Ramle, and from Nablus to the Galilee, from Tiberias to Hebron.”

Finally, the newest PA schoolbooks teach that "Palestine will be liberated by its men, its women, its young ones and its elderly." [Arabic Language and the Science of Language, grade 12, p. 44]
“The great dream of Palestinians is to liberate Palestine from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea,” says head of Palestinian university

Rector of Al-Istiqlal University in Jericho (The Palestinian Academy for Security Sciences) Saleh Abu Osba:
"I always say that life without dreams is empty. As I see it, we the Palestinians have a great dream before us: To liberate Palestine from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea. This dream will remain before us and requires of us willpower. Our people’s willpower is strong. The proof of this is the thousands of prisoners and the thousands of Martyrs who have fallen to realize the dream of liberating Palestine."

Abbas’ advisor invents Palestinian history: Palestinians have been on this land for 6,000 years, we were here “before Judaism, Christianity and Islam... Peace will begin with the removal of Israel from the occupied Palestinian land”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, July 12, 2018
Official PA TV News, broadcast of a Fatah Revolutionary Council meeting held in Khan Al-Ahmar, a site where Bedouins have constructed illegal structures on state land

Supreme Shari’ah Judge, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Shari'ah Justice Mahmoud Al-Habbash: “Today, here, we remember 6,000 years of Palestinianness of this land. Six thousand years since the Arab Canaanites built the city of Jerusalem (sic., the Canaanites were not Arabs), even before our forefather Abraham reached this land. We were here not only before the settlements, we were here before Israel, and we were even here before the Jewish religion, before Judaism, before Christianity, and before Islam. The Palestinians were here and will remain here, and the foreigners will leave… The… call is to the Israeli people – do you want peace? Peace will begin with you leaving here. Peace will begin with the removal of Israel from the occupied Palestinian land and with the transfer of all of the land of occupied Palestine, and primarily Jerusalem with all of its details and contours - the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall of the Temple Mount) - which will be transferred to the independent Palestinian state, as it is responsible for protecting the holy sites.”

Fatah Secretary in Tubas Mahmoud Sawafta: "For many long years, all of the projects that the enemies have attempted to impose on us and that the occupation has attempted to impose on us - and the largest of these projects was the Civil Administration – all of these projects have failed... Indeed this people is great and this blessed land that has a great people in it - all of the occupations that have attempted to impose their hegemony on this land have been defeated in this region as a result of this people’s determination. The Mongols, Tatars, Timur Lang, Crusaders, and English were defeated here... And we say today too that the deal of the century (referring to US President Trump's as yet unpublished peace plan for the Middle East –Ed.), which the American delegation has brought to the region in an attempt to impose it, will not pass."

Fatah official: “Allah willing, our state will be from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea;” The Jews want “to gather so they can be annihilated”
Source: Al-Alam TV (Iran), May 29, 2018
Iranian Al-Alam TV program Guest and Dialogue, on International Al-Quds Day and US President Donald Trump's Middle East peace plan, hosting Fatah Central Committee member and Fatah Commissioner for Arab and China Relations Abbas Zaki

Fatah Central Committee member and Fatah Commissioner for Arab and China Relations Abbas Zaki: "All of this American recklessness and arrogance has crossed every line. From here I say: This proves that America is devoid of culture, devoid of history, and they think that if they massacred the American Indians, they will also massacre the Palestinian people. No! [...] Now, we have said to Israel: Take a state in the [1967] borders, and we are in these borders. But soon, this will no longer be. They have refused, we refuse- Allah willing our state will be from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea, we will finish this matter, and we are willing to accept them in a democratic and secular state that contains Jews, Christians, and Muslims in an equal manner. And we do not want Israel and this Zionism. Let them go, we will finish it. We and the Jews are friends, in other words... But this propaganda of theirs that says: 'We want a state for Jews in Palestine’ – this, I think, from a historical perspective, they want to gather so they will be annihilated. Nobody accepts them.”
Host: "Even Europe did not accept them."

Fatah Spokesman in Gaza: “Israel will not be able to live in peace and security as long as we do not achieve our legal rights… our people will not accept any deal other than the deal of return to its land”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 6, 2018
“Official Fatah Movement Spokesman in the Gaza Strip Dr. Atef Abu Saif said that the continuation of the March of Return activities is a strategic matter for the Fatah Movement and a clear and explicit expression of our people’s adherence to all of its legal rights, and he called for these actions to be part of the peaceful popular resistance’s active strategy on the path to achieving all of our rights… Regarding everything concerning the message behind these activities, Abu Saif said that there are two messages. One is that our people has not forgotten and will not forget its land and its rights, and that Israel will not be able to live in peace and security as long as we do not achieve our legal rights. The second message is directed to the international community by emphasizing that it is impossible to shelve our people’s cause, and that our people will not accept any deal other than the deal of return to its land and its homes from which it was expelled.”

Op-ed in official PA daily: Israel - “the colonialist satanic plant” of the West “to get rid of the problem of the Jewish ghetto” - will not survive because the “Zionist project… is a project that rejects life”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 5, 2018
Excerpt of an op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily

“The core and essence of the Anglo-Saxon-Israeli connection were never a secret to anyone, or unclear and vague, because their foundations are obvious and clear, and they are based on the mutual relationship between the Anglo-Saxon decision maker and funder and the Zionist project, so that it will carry out the role and mission required of it. Therefore, the owner of the project of Israel is the West, the entire capitalist West, and the fact that there are differences of opinion and even criticism between the capitalist bodies according to hierarchy and status does not in any way mean that they have a disagreement about protecting and perpetuating the status of Israel – the colonialist satanic plant in the region on the ruins of the Palestinian people’s Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel)...
Therefore, to the extent that the national, popular, political, and diplomatic struggle develops, we will achieve two goals simultaneously: 1. To enable building foundations for a political, possible, and accepted agreement; 2. The splitting and fragmenting of the Zionist project, because it will not be able to continue to exist without the Anglo-Saxon financial and security aid, and particularly because it is a project that rejects life.”

Shaath emphasized in a statement to the [PA] state radio station The Voice of Palestine that no one can ignore the refugees' right of return… Shaath said that the American proposal to settle the refugees as part of what is called the ‘deal of the century' is a real crime (Details of the US plan are unknown as it has not yet been published –Ed.).
