PA daily op-ed: “ISIS and the Talmudic (i.e., Jewish) teachings… [have] adopted the slogan ‘the sword of God is in my hand’ in order to satisfy his desire to spill the blood of the other”

Headline: “Netanyahu, the fox of Israel, has recognized the ISIS-ization of the world!”

Excerpt of an op-ed by Muwaffaq Matar, regular columnist for the official PA daily

“Perhaps [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu is relying on the fact that in the age of [US President-elect] Donald Trump the countries will change their way of dealing with the issues of conflict in the world, and particularly with the issue of Palestine, which has been proven to Netanyahu to remain the central issue despite the world’s dealing with new issues. Perhaps the expression ‘the final breaths of the world of yesterday’ (sic., Netanyahu on Jan. 15, 2017, called the Paris conference ‘the final throes of the world of yesterday’) is nothing but a confirmation of prior knowledge regarding the secrets of ‘Trump’s revolution’ against the international laws and bodies, and the beginning of humanity’s journey back to the laws of barbarity, or what can be described as the ‘ISIS-ization of the world,’ which means the cancellation of all of the red lines that protect the rights of man, and the raising and imposing of the law of the jungle. In other words, [it is] the birth of ‘the barbaric man’ in the 21st century as a result of cross-breeding between the concepts of ISIS and the Talmudic (i.e., Jewish) teachings. This is because each of them has adopted the slogan ‘the sword of God is in my hand’ in order to satisfy his desire to spill the blood of the other, and to take control of him by force.”

Paris Peace Conference - A peace conference was held in Paris on Jan. 15, 2017, attended by representatives from over 70 countries, but with no representatives from Israel or the PA. The conference issued a declaration calling for a negotiated peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians based on the two-state solution and praising UN Security Council Resolution 2334. Britain and Australia refused to sign the declaration, with Britain arguing that the declaration, which was made as part of the French Peace Initiative, might harden the Palestinian negotiating position, particularly given its timing right before the inauguration of US President Donald Trump’s administration. The following day Britain blocked the EU Foreign Affairs Council from adopting the declaration.
