Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Jews/Israelis are evil
Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Since the Palestinian Authority was established it has systematically indoctrinated young and old to hate Israelis and Jews. Using media, education, and cultural structures that it controls, the PA has actively promoted religious hatred, demonization, conspiracy libels, etc. These are packaged to present Israelis and Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. This ongoing campaign has so successfully instilled hatred that fighting, murder and even suicide terror against Israelis and Jews are seen by the majority of Palestinians as justified self-defense and as Allah’s will. The PA presents Jews as possessing inherently evil traits. Jews are said to be treacherous, corrupt, deceitful and unfaithful by nature. These Jewish “attributes” and traditions are presented as the unchangeable nature of Jews. Forgeries and fiction masquerading as history are used to document and support the libel that Judaism is in essence racist and evil. Jews are said to be planning and executing heinous crimes, including burning Palestinians in ovens, murder, using prisoners for Nazi-like experiments, and more. If unchecked, these crimes constitute a mortal danger, not only to all Muslims and Arabs but to all of humanity.

The PA assigns responsibility to the Jews for all the problems in the world: Wars, conflicts and civil wars are all said to be triggered by Jews. Indeed, the oppression suffered by Jews throughout history is presented as the legitimate response of nations seeking revenge for the injury caused them by the Jews living among them. The creation of the State of Israel is said to have been a European plot, in order to be rid of their Jews and save Europe from the evil of Jewish presence in their countries.

The following are examples of Palestinian demonization:

PA Government claims Israel rejected 1947 UN partition plan, which was rejected by the Palestinians
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 9, 2017
Headline: "The [PA] government: The king of Jordan’s visit to Palestine is a message to Tel Aviv"

"During its weekly meeting, which was held yesterday [Aug. 8, 2017] led by [PA] Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, the [PA] government emphasized the importance of King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan’s visit and his meeting with [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas two days ago in Ramallah…
The government emphasized that Israel arose on the ruins of the Palestinian people, and from the first day rejected UN Resolution 181 (sic., the UN partition plan of 1947 was accepted by the Jewish Agency and rejected by Arab leaders and governments) and UN Resolution 194, which deals with the refugees’ right of return…
The government expressed its opposition to the fact that the American Senate Committee [on Foreign Relations] approved a bill (i.e., the Taylor Force Act), which determines that the US will stop the annual aid that it transfers to the PA (sic., it will stop aid if the PA continues to pay terrorists and families of deceased terrorists –Ed.). It emphasized that the US understands that the occupation… is fully responsible for the PA’s financial responsibility in relation to the occupation’s actions and their results (i.e., Israel is the reason the PA has to pay salaries to terrorist prisoners and dead terrorists' families -Ed.)."

UN Resolution 194 (Chapter 11, Dec. 11, 1948) states that "the refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbors should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date, and that compensation should be paid for the property of those choosing not to return." Palestinian leaders argue this means that all Arabs who left Israel during the war (hundreds of thousands) and their descendants (a few million) have a "right of return" to Israel. Israel argues tha
Fatah official: Israel creates terror, not the Palestinians
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 1, 2017
“[Fatah] Commissioner of Information, Culture, and Ideology and Fatah Central Committee member Dr. Nasser Al-Qidwa… noted that the occupation government attempted and is still attempting to exploit the hostility to Arabs and Islam in a number of places and to connect them to terror in an attempt to mark the Palestinian struggle and every Palestinian act as terror, in order to mislead world opinion and portray [the situation] as if Israel suffers from the same threat, fights terror, and is a part of the international war against it. He emphasized that Israel only harms the struggle against terror, as it is the one that creates policies that lead to terror, and does not fight it."
Fatah official: “"The enemy of the region, the enemy of the Palestinians, and of the Arab and Islamic nation is Israel”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, July 23, 2017
Official PA TV program Topic of the Day, on PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' decision to freeze relations with Israel, hosting Fatah Central Committee member and PLO Central Council member Jamal Muhaisen

Fatah Central Committee member and PLO Central Council member Jamal Muhaisen: "The enemy of the region, the enemy of the Palestinians, and of the Arab and Islamic nation is Israel, and not any state that the US and Israel are trying to start wars [against]. I say to you: Our enemy is not Iran. The enemy of the Arab and Islamic nation is not Iran; the enemy of the Arab nation is Israel… It cannot be that all of the armies that have been prepared [for war] for 50 years at the expense of Arab money and at the expense of the bread of the Arab citizen, and all of the military power of the Arab nation will not be turned against the occupation. If this does not happen, every person of rank [in the Arab armies] will lose his honor."
PLO official attacks UN Sec-Gen for condemning a stabbing attack that killed 3 Israelis as "empathy towards the settlers, and... silence over the Israeli occupation’s crimes"

Headline: "Tayseer Khaled: What about the occupation's crimes and the nearly daily executions, Mr. Guterres?"
"PLO Executive Committee member and Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) Political Bureau member Tayseer Khaled wondered in a post on social media about the position of UN Secretary-General António Guterres that expresses empathy towards the settlers, and his silence over the Israeli occupation’s crimes and the nearly daily executions that the occupation forces are carrying out against the Palestinian civilians.
This is in light of the fact that UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned the stabbing operation (i.e., terror attack, 3 murdered) that took place yesterday night, Friday [July 21, 2017], in the settlement of Halamish, west of occupied Ramallah, and led to the deaths of 3 settlers and the wounding of 4 (sic., 1 wounded)."

“Head of the Communications Administration of the Fatah Mobilization and Organization Commission Munir Al-Jaghoub… said in a TV interview this evening, Friday [July 21, 2017], that the Israelis have not properly learned the lesson that Jerusalem is a center for the Muslims throughout the world, and that any foolish move in the city is liable to drag the region to bloodshed…

“Supreme Shari’ah Judge of Palestine, [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas’] advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs, [and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Shari'ah Justice] Mahmoud Al-Habbash emphasized… that the placement of metal detectors by the occupation authorities and the checking of worshippers by the occupation’s soldiers (both implemented following a terror attack at the Temple Mount on July 14, 2017 in which 2 were murdered; see note below –Ed.) constitute a blatant blow to the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, a blow to the role of the [Jordanian] Waqf, and arrogant interference in a purely Islamic site, to which non-Muslims have no right… He added that Israel is playing with fire and pushing the whole region towards the abyss and towards a religious war that will consume everything, and from whose flames nobody will be saved.”

Headline: “Al-Damiri: The occupation government is opening the door to a religious conflict”
“General Political Commissioner [of the PLO Political and National Guidance Authority] and Official Spokesman of the [PA] Security Forces Adnan Al-Damiri said that the extremist Israeli occupation government is opening the door to religious conflict and war by escalating its steps of oppression against the [Arab] residents of Jerusalem, against Jerusalem, and against the Al-Aqsa Mosque (refers to Israel installing metal detectors at the entrance to the Temple Mount following a terror attack there on July 14, 2017; see note below –Ed.)…
He said: ‘The extremist Israeli government’s insistence on taking control of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the pretext of the Temple myth is the main basis of the religious conflict that Jewish extremism and terror want to ignite.’”

Following terror attack, Fatah calls on Palestinians to go to Al-Aqsa Mosque to defend it from Israel
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, July 15, 2017
Headline: “Wall-to-wall national and Arab condemnation of the occupation’s closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque”
“The Fatah Movement called on the Palestinians to go up to the Al-Aqsa Mosque following Israeli Prime Minister [Benjamin Netanyahu’s] decision to completely close the mosque yesterday (Friday) [July 14, 2017] (the Temple Mount was closed in response to a terror attack at the site that morning in which 2 Israeli border policemen were murdered, see note below. It was reopened on Sunday, July 16, 2017 –Ed.).
The movement said in a press statement yesterday: ‘The Israeli occupation and the systematic Israeli policy of oppressing the members of our Palestinian people, particularly in Jerusalem, preventing the free access of believers to the holy sites, and the repeating invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque plazas by settlers are the root of the problem. They are the beginning of the endless cycle of violence, and they are the factor that necessarily leads to Palestinians being murdered over and over in cold blood, with no consideration for the sanctity of the site and the sanctity of life...’”

Fatah official: “I call for a popular resistance that is capable of incorporating the masses”
Source: Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency), July 14, 2017
Headline: “Zaki: The illusion of peace has put Israel into a state of extremism, and the Palestinians must carry out popular resistance"
"Fatah Movement Central Committee member Abbas Zaki emphasized that the imaginary peace has caused Israel to live in a state of extremism and stupidity, and noted that the time has come for the world to recognize that the occupation is still committing crimes through which it strives to take revenge on all of the holy sites…
He said: 'Since 1967, nobody has dared to close the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Its closure today proves that Israel has come out in an attack against the monotheistic religions, and it is a wild battle against the tenets of faith and religion by wild law-breaking gangs that kill morning and night as if the killing of Palestinians is permissible, while anyone who kills Israelis is an aggressor and a terrorist, and therefore this is a completely unacceptable situation.' […] He added: 'I call for a popular resistance that is capable of incorporating the masses, and I call on the Palestinians to bear their responsibility and show the world that the occupation is carrying out the worst kind of terror, and [popular resistance] is the right of the Palestinian people.’”

Fatah responds to accusations of inciting violence: The “true incitement” is by Israel, which carries out “invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque” and attempts to “Judaize” the Cave of Patriarchs in Hebron
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, July 10, 2017
Headline: "Al-Qawasmi: The occupation, settlement, and invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque"
"The Fatah Movement rejected the Israeli accusations against the Palestinian leadership, the movement, and the Palestinians in general, according to which they are inciting to violence. The movement emphasized that the true incitement is inherent in the continuation of the occupation, settlement, ongoing invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its plazas, and attempts to divide and Judaize the purely Islamic Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs) in Hebron.
[Fatah] Movement Spokesman Osama Al-Qawasmi said in a press statement today, Monday [July 10, 2017]… that everyone must understand 'that the Palestinian people is the victim of the Israeli occupation, and not as Israel tries to portray [the situation].’"

The PA and its leaders consider all of the Temple Mount an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they view any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock.

PA Ministry of Foreign Affairs attacks US Ambassador to the UN for being "hostile," Israel carried out "genocide" against the Palestinians

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in its statement: ‘When we published the first statement, we tried to respond in a diplomatic manner to the American ambassador to the UN, because she lacks diplomatic experience and has a superficial knowledge of international affairs and in the field of history and conflicts. We tried to dissuade her from her infinite arrogance in her arbitrary attitude toward world affairs, her harming of the Palestinian rights, and demonstrating intentional and unjustified hatred towards everything Palestinian, [which she does] in an attempt to prove her unlimited loyalty to Israel, perhaps in the hopes of being elected to a new role.’"

In addition, [Palestinians] from Jerusalem were wounded by the indiscriminate shooting of the occupation forces in order to begin a collective punishment of Jerusalem and its residents… The blood of the three Martyrs had not dried when the blood of another Martyr watered the ground of the homeland. Young Baha Imad Al- Harbawi, 23, was shot by the occupation and died as a Martyr next to the Jaba’ checkpoint northeast of Jerusalem, on the pretext that he tried to carry out a stabbing operation. PA chief negotiator Erekat falsely claims: Israel guilty of incitement and dedicating landmarks to ‘terrorists’, glorifies ‘Zionist terror’
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, June 22, 2017
Headline: "Erekat warned against cooperation with the Israeli narrative of incitement"

"Secretary of the PLO Executive Committee[, Fatah Central Committee member, and PLO Chief Negotiator] Saeb Erekat rejected the false accusations and claims that Israel is spreading regarding what it calls 'the official Palestinian incitement.'
Erekat emphasized in a statement this evening, Thursday [June 22, 2017], that the occupation government is working continuously to deflect attention and to find new and misleading excuses such as 'the claims of incitement' every time an opportunity is created to revive the political process, in contrast to the Palestinian leadership that is committed to the two-state solution and the full implementation of international law.
Erekat's response came in the wake of Israel’s ongoing attempts to call our people’s national struggle terror and to turn our fighter Martyrs (Shahids) and prisoners since the outbreak of the Palestinian revolution into criminals.
Erekat explained that the reason that Israel refuses to revive the tripartite committee that deals with incitement stems from the built-in policy of the right-wing government to incite and glorify Zionist terror. He said: 'One example of this is the fact that [Israeli] occupation Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu himself inaugurated a hospital last April that was named after [former Israeli Prime Minister] Yitzhak Shamir, the terrorist responsible for the killing of hundreds of civilians, including [his] issuing the orders to assassinate UN Peace Mediator Count Folke Bernadotte from Sweden, in addition to blowing up the King David Hotel [in Jerusalem], which led to the death of dozens of civilians (Shamir was a leader of the pre-state Jewish militia Lehi that assassinated Count Bernadotte –Ed.)."
PA Ministry of Information falsely claims Israel has honored Baruch Goldstein, who murdered 29 praying Palestinians, by naming streets after him
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, June 20, 2017
Headline: “[PA] Ministry of Information: Netanyahu does not cease to incite and is doing nothing for peace”

“The [PA] Ministry of Information today (Tuesday) [June 20, 2017] said that it is monitoring Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements against [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas regarding what he called ‘ poisoning the minds of Palestinian youth,’ his demand to ‘educate for peace, not terror,’ and his attack on naming a square after Martyr (Shahid) Khaled Nazzal (i.e., terrorist, planned murder of 31 ) in Jenin.
The [PA] ministry added in its announcement that the government of Israel, and its leader Netanyahu, do not cease lethal incitement and to pay money for the defense of Israeli murderers, criminals, and terrorists.
It continued: ‘The incitement from the occupation prime minister is the recycling of an occupation discourse packed with fraud and fabrication, while ignoring that Israel is proud of murderers and criminals from among its army and its settlers who have committed crimes against humanity against the members of our people since 1948, have committed barbaric massacres, have completely erased hundreds of cities and villages, and are continuing on the same path throughout the Palestinian land.’

PA daily cartoon: Israel depicted as an IS executioner
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, June 15, 2017

Cartoon presenting Israel as a masked Islamic State fighter about to cut off the head of a hostage. The executioner's mask is marked with the Star of David. He is holding a knife shaped as lightning, symbolizing electricity. This is a reference to Israel deciding in early June 2017 to cut off electricity to the Gaza Strip at the request of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who sought to pressure Hamas by saying he will no longer pay for the Gaza Strip’s electricity.

This cartoon also appeared in the PA daily on Feb. 25, 2015, in reference to Israel cutting off electricity to two Palestinian towns for a limited time in order to pressure the PA to pay part of its billion shekel debt to Israel for electricity.

PA Prisoners’ Affairs Commission’s libel: Israel “officially, systematically and legally support Jewish ‘terror’”; Jewish terror groups receive “aid and defense” from the Israeli government
Source: Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency), June 15, 2017
Headline: “The [PLO] Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs: The government of Israel officially supports Jewish ‘terror’”

As a justification for their glorification of terror, Palestinian leaders often falsely claim that Israel honors Jews who murder Palestinians – Ed.

“In a report that was published by the [PLO] Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs it was written that the Israeli occupation government officially, systematically, and legally supports Jewish ‘terror’ against the Palestinian people, and provides financial and political aid to the Jewish ‘terror’ organizations…
In the commission’s report it was emphasized – in response to the Israeli Parliament on June 14, 2017, approving in a first reading a bill allowing Israel to deduct amounts of money from the [tax] money [it collects] for the PA, on the pretext that they are paid as allowances (mukhassasat) to the families of the prisoners, Martyrs (Shahids), and wounded – that this step constitutes open and illegal theft of the Palestinian people’s money. It was also said that its [the step’s] strategic goal is to define the Palestinian people’s struggle and its legitimate resistance to the occupation as a crime.
The commission’s report exposed that the occupation government supports the non-profit organization Honenu, which was established in 2001 by settlers from the settlement of Kiryat Arba in Hebron, and that this non-profit organization provides legal and material aid to Jewish prisoners who committed acts of murder and crimes against Palestinians, and to their families. It also helps the murderer prisoners in finding work after leaving prison…
This non-profit organization receives financial aid from the government of Israel and from the budget of the state of Israel and its institutions (sic ., Honenu has non-profit sta
